The idea of the Hat Lab came to me during one of my shifts as a firefighter. I was examining one of my caps and noticed a lot of salt stains which lead me to research how to properly clean hats. This is when I realized that there were no convenient and efficient ways to clean hats. As a first responder, hats are one of the main uniform items that are neglected on a regular basis. This got me thinking, “I wonder what a hat cleaning machine could look like…” and that was the beginning of the Hat Lab. 

 

When I’m not working, I maintain an active lifestyle hiking, camping, hunting and any other hobby that lets me explore the beautiful state of Washington.
